Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 September 2026
1. Who you are booking with
Trips are operated by Opal Dolphin House Tours, Street 68, Marsa Alam, Red Sea, Egypt. Our boat OPAL is licensed and approved by the Egyptian Coast Guard.
2. How a booking is made
Sending the form on our website opens a WhatsApp message — it is a request, not a confirmed booking. Your place is reserved only once we reply confirming the date, the number of guests and the price. Please check that reply carefully: it is the agreement between us.
3. Prices
Prices are per person and are shown on the website in euros; we also accept US dollars and Egyptian pounds at the rate agreed when you book. The price of a trip includes boat transport, snorkeling equipment, a professional guide, lunch, drinks and insurance. Hotel pickup and drop-off is available for an extra fee, which we confirm before the trip. Anything not listed as included is not included.
4. Payment
We accept cash, InstaPay, Fawry, bank transfer and mobile wallets. Payment details are always arranged directly with us over WhatsApp. We never ask for card numbers, bank passwords or one-time codes — by e-mail, on this website, or anywhere else. If you receive such a request claiming to be from us, it is not from us.
5. Cancellation and changes
- Cancel more than 48 hours before the trip: full refund.
- Cancel between 24 and 48 hours before: 50% refund.
- Cancel within 24 hours of the trip, or not showing up: no refund.
- Changing your date is free if you tell us more than 48 hours in advance and we have space on the new date.
6. Weather and safety cancellations
The Red Sea decides some things for us. If the Coast Guard closes the port, or the captain judges that sea conditions are unsafe, we will offer you another date or a full refund. Nothing on a trip is worth taking a risk at sea for, and that decision always rests with the captain.
7. Health, swimming and children
You do not need to be an experienced swimmer: life jackets are provided and our guides stay in the water with guests. Please tell us before the trip about any medical condition, pregnancy, or reduced mobility that could affect your day, so we can prepare properly. Children aged 4 and above are welcome with an adult, and we carry safety equipment in children's sizes. Guests under 18 remain the responsibility of the adult they travel with.
The captain may refuse participation to anyone who is intoxicated, or whose behaviour puts themselves, other guests or the crew at risk. No refund is due in that case.
8. Protecting the dolphins and the reef
Samadai Reef is a protected marine sanctuary. On board and in the water you agree to follow the guide's instructions and the sanctuary rules: do not chase, touch or feed the dolphins, do not stand on or break coral, do not use sunscreen that is not reef-safe where asked, and take all rubbish back with you. These rules are why the dolphins still come here.
9. Your belongings
Please leave valuables at your hotel. We take good care of the boat, but we cannot accept responsibility for personal items that are lost, damaged or wet during the trip.
10. Liability
We run our trips with licensed equipment, trained crew and insurance cover, and we take safety seriously. Beyond that, sea excursions and snorkeling carry risks that no operator can remove entirely, and you take part accepting those ordinary risks. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Egyptian law.
11. Photos
We take photos during trips and may use them on our website and social media. If you would rather not appear, tell the guide on the day and we will respect it.
12. Complaints and governing law
If something goes wrong, tell us on the day if you can — most things can be fixed on the spot. Otherwise write to ahmedyounis838@gmail.com. These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
